Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens feature multiple locations where you can enjoy a selection of food and refreshments during opening times throughout the year. Whether you choose our charming cafés, you can enjoy a variety of food and drink during your visit. 

THE CLOCKTOWER KITCHEN

The Clocktower Kitchen, located near Leonardslee House at the top of the gardens, opens daily and offers a wide range of refreshments including hot food, light lunches, afternoon and cream tea, a variety of hot and cold drinks.

Perfect for visitors on the go, our grab-and-go options include satisfying lunches and snacks, which you can enjoy in the Clocktower Kitchen or the Courtyard Café. We also offer thoughtfully curated kids’ lunch packs, crafted with the same dedication to quality. For a true taste of Sussex, savour a glass of our own sparkling wine from Leonardslee Family Vineyards available to purchase by the bottle, or try one of our locally sourced beers and mineral waters. Throughout the year, enjoy seasonal treats and special.

We proudly prioritise sourcing ingredients locally, supporting nearby suppliers, including vegan providers, and showcasing the best of each season through our rotating menu selections.

Sorry, only assistance dogs are allowed in The Clocktower Kitchen's seated area. Dogs are welcome in the Alpine House.

Our lunch menu offers a variety of enticing options, ranging from classic hot mains like fish & chips and crispy pork belly to burgers, flavourful nachos, and 12” pizzas. Catering to the diverse tastes of all our visitors, including children, we also provide gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan alternatives. 

PIZZA SUNDAY

Every Sunday | 12:00 – 15:00

Join us every Sunday for delicious 11” pizzas, with 12 options to choose from. Pair your pizza with tasty sides like halloumi fries, jalapeño poppers, or garden salad with pomegranate dressing. The perfect way to enjoy a Sunday!

AFTERNOON TEA

£17 per person

Includes a hot drink of choice, sandwich, homemade sausage roll*, scone with strawberry jam & clotted cream, two mini sponge cakes*, two Petit fours.

THE ALPINE HOUSE

We’re also excited to welcome dog-friendly visitors to our Alpine House! This newly opened semi-outdoor space provides a comfortable, designated area to enjoy everything The Clocktower Kitchen has to offer with your dog.

ENGINE HOUSE CAFÉ

The Engine House Café is open seasonally and welcoming visitors as required to help during busy times.

Enjoy the stunning scenery and take a walk around the scenic woodland gardens before indulging in a range of snacks including light lunches, hot and cold drinks as well as a selection of sweet treats.

WINE GARDEN

The Wine Garden is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of our wines, before you are transported back in time at the ‘Beyond the Doll’s House’ exhibition, located next door. During the summer months, the Wine Garden bar is also open, so that you can enjoy a refreshing glass of wine after your adventures in the gardens.
