About Hannah
Hannah Peckham is a counsellor, mother and children’s author that grew up in Sussex.
Her passion is to write beautiful stories whilst embracing the learning opportunities to deliver key social emotional lessons. Hannah believes that laying the foundations of good mental health early on can give children the gift of emotional literacy.
Hannah’s book Conker the Chameleon has won multiple awards and is celebrated for its use of the zone of regulation within early years settings and has been translated into Portuguese by Penguin Random House. Climb is endorsed by the lead author of Development Matters, the non-statutory government guidelines for early years settings and is good toy guide recommended and was a finalist for the progressive preschool awards. The sequel Conker and the Monkey Trap delivers a message about bravery, friendship and kindness.
Her new book Bronty’s Battle Cry is about a little dinosaur who learns to live life singing to his own tune. It was during the illustration stage of this book that Hannah’s world was turned on its head as her beloved 3 year old son was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. Devastated yet determined Hannah is now on a mummy mission to raise awareness and find a kinder cure, which is why she is working tirelessly between hospital trips with Bodhi on their initiative #pantstoleukhemia and why 25p of each book sold will be going to the Leukaemia UK pants to leukaemia fund.
Find out more about how you can show your support for Hannah, Bodhi and Leukaemia UK below.
#PantstoLeukaemia
#PantsToLeukaemia, the viral fundraiser for Leukaemia UK, was set up by Hannah, whose four-year-old son Bodhi was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia last year. Several celebrities have been taking on the challenge, including Holly Willoughby, Jessie J and Gok Wan to show support for Bodhi who has been bravely undergoing intensive treatment since November 2022.
“I set up a little Team Bodhi group to keep our friends updated and after another admission to hospital, I sent them a picture, in the moment, of his pants clad head… throughout the day they responded as only a good team would and I received pictures of all his pals, their dogs, mummy’s and friends with pants on their head standing in solidarity with his plight”.

Leukaemia UK
We are Leukaemia UK. We believe research has the power to stop leukaemia devastating lives.
Leukaemia doesn’t discriminate. It affects people of all ages – from babies to grandparents. More people are living longer with leukaemia but, despite decades of progress only half of leukaemia patients live longer than five years after their diagnosis*. We won’t stop until we change this.
What if through research, awareness and advocacy, we could accelerate progress and improve the lives of people affected by leukaemia today and in the future? By bringing together the experience and expertise of people who are living and working with leukaemia, we will do everything we can to make sure that the next person diagnosed has the best possible experience.
We are building a research programme based on evidence and our insight from patients and from the scientific and healthcare community. Our research work will tackle needs and fill gaps to ensure we meet what matters most to the leukaemia community.
We will be guided by our supporters, researchers, healthcare professionals and people living with leukaemia to fund and prioritise the leukaemia research that matters most, helping improve the patient experience, from diagnosis to treatment and care.
